📝 Learn Storytelling & Cheapest Places to Live (2024)

Five Interesting Things I Came Across This Week

Sup friends 👋🏼,

I had the opportunity to attend a bunch of web3 events in Dubai this week - love being around builder energy and speaking to folks looking to move forward with their projects.

I hustled my way into a few events and made some great connections along the way. Even found my way into a spot right next to the Dubai Eye.

Key learnings:

  • A bit of a mixed bag of conversations - some fruitful conversations with builders, some which weren’t so productive with traders and those ‘tourists’ in the industry purely looking to make a quick buck

  • Key narratives - zero-knowledge, AI and DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure)

  • Community growth - lots of talent, ambition and creativity - the opportunity to collab is always stacking.

More to come soon - let’s get to it 🙂

1/ Doing Things Despite How Hard They Are

Had to screenshot this one as it had a few OGs in the replies.

Lesson - Do it anyway & don’t overthink it.

Most people wouldn’t have accomplished all they’ve done if they knew how hard it was going to be.

2/ Belief in your Work

Loved this story about Zuck - while he’s going through his own personal rebrand right now, young Zuck was a savage.

Worth the read - have grounding belief in what you’re working on, and you could be unstoppable.

/3 Learn Storytelling from Comedians

Comedians have a tough gig - they have to create material, practice how they tell stories, and deal with hecklers.

How do the greats do it?

David Perell talks about Chris Rock’s creative process of performing in smaller clubs before using his best material for his big shows.

It takes a lot of trial and error to find what works, but it’s important to commit to the hard yards.

/4 How to Not Feel Constantly Tired

My fave points:

  • Stop eating late at night

  • Avoid eating carbs early in the day

  • Eat plenty of whole, high quality foods: Red meat, Fish & Poultry, Fruits, Raw dairy & Honey

Came across this link and thought those digital nomads amongst us may find this useful - here’s the list:

Check out the post to learn more abotu each of these areas and other points to be mindful of.

That’s a wrap - let me know your favourite link 🙂

Till next week,
